Winterberg (RWH) The 2017 European Championships of the bobsleigh and skeleton athletes will take place in Winterberg (GER). The International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF decided to give the continental Championships to the bobtrack in the Hochsauerland region. The European Championships will take place as race-in-race at the BMW IBSF World Cup (9-15 January 2017). So additionally to World Cup points, the athletes from Europe can win medals in Winterberg.
The Winterberg bobtrack next winter ist European Championships host for the seventh time. 1979, 1989 and 2003, the athletes in two man and four man bob, as well as 1984 and 1988 the male skeleton athletes competed for medals here. At the last European Championships in Winterberg in 2011, all IBSF disciplines (two man and four man bob, women’s bob, skeleton men and skeleton women) took part. @RWH2016
