PyeongChang (RWH) On February 9, 2017 it’s exactly one year to go to the Opening Ceremony of the XXIII. Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, Korea. The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) celebrates this date with a ceremony that day in the Gangneun Hockey Center, including the presentation of the Olympic Torch and the Torch relay uniform.

The 2018 Olympic Winter Games kick-off on February 9, 2018. The Olympic Bobsleigh and Skeleton competitions are scheduled for Feb. 15-17 (Skeleton), Feb. 18-21 (Two Man and Womens’s Bob) and Feb. 24-25, 2018 (Four Man Bob). Venue is the new Alpensia Sliding center, part of the mountain cluster in PyeongChang.

The IBSF athletes will compete there for the first time from March 17-19, 2017 at the finals of BMW IBSF World Cup 2016/2017, at the same time the Olympic test event for bobsleigh and skeleton. ©RWH2017
