Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton announces World Cup team at event in Toronto
The bobsleigh and skeleton squads will travel to Canada’s largest city after taking part in the International Training Period on the Olympic track in PyeongChang, Korea. Their visit will begin with a trip to a middle school for a Q&A session, a video presentation on the two disciplines, and a fitness session with the students. They will then attend the ceremony for the inaugural L. Lamont Gordon Spirit of Sport Award, which honours the athlete who best embodies the spirit of sportsmanship.
The six skeleton athletes and 22 bobsleigh athletes selected for the BMW IBSF World Cup team for the Olympic season will be officially announced on 1 November. The squad will then attend the Bay Street Push Challenge in the centre of Toronto, which will see teams of two – made up of one athlete and one local business person – go head to head in a race. ©RWH2017
