Lillehammer (RWH) With two races in Lillehammer (NOR), the OMEGA IBSF Youth Qualification Series of the skeleton athletes came to an end. On the venue of the 2016 Youth Olympic Winter Games (YOG) Briton Ashleigh Pittaway won both women’s skeleton races followed by Paula Lace from Latvia and Hannah Neise (GER). At the men’s races, two times winner Evgeniy Rukosuev from Russia banned Latvia’s Krists Netlaus to second place, respectively. Third ranks went to Alexander Hestengen from Norway and Austria‘s Martin Stampfer.

The second edition of the Youth Olympic Winter Games takes place fron 12 to 21 February 2016 in Lillehammer in Norway. Young IBSF athletes aged between 14 and 18 then will compete in skeleton (19 February 2016) and for the first time in Olympic history in the monobob (20 February 2016). ©RWH2015-2016
