Innsbruck (RWH) The IBSF Intercontinental Cup (ICC) is a skeleton-only race series and can be seen as step between the North American Cup and European Cup series and the top-class BMW IBSF World Cup. If you see our athletes at an ICC event, you may meet them again soon competing with the world’s best in World Cup, World Championships or Olympic Games.

The IBSF Intercontinental Cup 2018/2019 kicks-off in Innsbruck, Austria, with the first training runs from November 12 and the first races on November 15 and 16.

Here are some facts and figures:

-          Among the ICC athletes at the kick-off event at the Olympic Icetrack Innsbruck are prominent names like Olympic Bronze medallist Laura Deas (GBR, Women’s Skeleton), Junior World Champion Anna Fernstädt (CZE, Women’s Skeleton) and Youth Olympic Champion Ashleigh Pittaway (GBR, Women’s Skeleton)

-          Last season’s ICC winners were Lanette Prediger (CAN, Women’s Skeleton) and Felix Keisinger (GER, Men’s Skeleton).

-          Like in BMW IBSF World Cup, there’s a quota rule defining how many athletes a nation qualifies for the Intercontinental Cup. >> The 2018/2019 quotas (PDF)
