Der Internationale Bob- und Skeleton-Verband (IBSF) hat seine Entscheidung im Fall des ehemaligen russischen Bobsportlers Alexander Shcherbakov gefällt. Er war Gegenstand eines Falls, der auf der Analyse der datenbank des Moskauer Laborinformationsmanagementsystems (LIMS) basiert.
Die IBSF hat folgende Entscheidung getroffen (aus englischem Originaltext):
- Alexander Shcherbakov shall be declared ineligible for a period of two (2) years because of Anti-Doping Rule Violations as set forth in Article 2.2 ("Use of a Prohibited Substance and Use of a Prohibited Method") of the IBSF Anti-Doping Rules in their 2009 version, beginning on the date of this Decision, against which the period of the Provisional Suspension imposed on Mr. Alexander Shcherbakov on 30 March 2022 shall be credited.
- Alexander Shcherbakov's competitive results obtained since 20 September 2014 shall be disqualified with all of the resulting consequences, including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes as set forth in Article 10.8 of the IBSF Anti-Doping Rules in their 2009 version.
Der Athlet hat 21 Tage Zeit, die Entscheidung beim Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) anzufechten.
