Lausanne (RWH) The member federations of the AIOWF (Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations) on April 19th met in Lausanne for their annual General Assembly.
On the agenda of the federations, including the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF with president Ivo Ferriani and Secretary General Heike Größwang, were presentations of the World Anti Doping Agency WADA, the Sports & Games, Ethics and Sustainability Departments of the International Olympic Committee IOC and the Olympic Channel.
Additionally, the delegates got new information to the Olympic Winter Games 2018 in PyeongChang, 2022 in Beijing as well as the Youth Olympic Games 2020. The AIOWF assembly concluded with a meeting with the Board of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations ASOIF and with IOC president Thomas Bach.
The AIOWF General Assembly is part of the Convention of SportAccord, the the worldwide umbrella organization of all international sports federations.
