Four World Championships will be awarded – Kick-off with City Push Championships
London (RWH) London for the second time after 2007 is host of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) Congress this summer. For the annual conference of the Olympic winter sports federation on June 12, about 150 participants, including delegates from 36 national federations along with Race Organizers, Track officials, IBSF Representatives and guests, gather in the British capital.
As kick-off, the British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association (BBSA) invited London based companies on June 10 to take part at the City Push Track Championships, where teams compete in 2-man and 2-women bobsleigh, as well as men’s and women’s skeleton. The event promotes bobsleigh and skeleton sport in the heart of London: venue is the ground of Armoury House, home of the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC), near the City of London.
At the congress in London, four World Championships will be awarded: the location of the 2020 IBSF World Championships will be decided on, as well as the host tracks for the 2017 IBSF Para World Championships, Junior World Championships and Summer Push Championships.
