Birmingham (RWH) Briton Jazmin Sawyers, who won Youth Olymic Games Silver in womens bobsleigh pushing pilot Mica McNeill in 2012, will be part of the British athletics team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
As the 22 years old long jump athlete announced on her Facebook page, she won the British Championships in Birmingham with a personal best of 6,75 m and so got her ticket to the Olympics. „Thank you all so much for all the amazing messages of support I've already received“, Jazmin Sawyers wrote.
In summer 2012, the long jumper won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships. 2013 at the Junior European Championships, 2014 at the Commonwealth Games and 2015 at the U23 European Championships Jazmin Sawyers won silver, respectively. ©RWH2016
