Rio de Janeiro (RWH) President Ivo Ferriani (ITA) and General Secretary Heike Größwang (GER) will be representing the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The duo have already been invited by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to attend the 129th IOC Session prior to the Games. On 4 August the committee’s general assembly will decide whether to accept eight new IOC members. The list of proposed new members put forward by the IOC Executive Board also features the name of IBSF President Ivo Ferriani.
The Summer Olympics are set to open on 5 August with the traditional opening ceremony before culminating in the official closing ceremony on 21 August.
