The IBSF Jury in coordination with the Lake Placid Track Management and Organizing Committee of the BMW IBSF World Cup determined that the consistency of ice conditions for 4 man racing cannot be secured due to the warm weather conditions of the past days.
Acknowledging the importance of these races being part of the Olympic qualification process, the IBSF therefore made the decision to hold two 2-man races in Lake Placid and two 4-man races in Park City (17 + 18 Nov).
