Calgary (RWH) Yooran Kim (KOR, women’s bobsleigh), Youngjin Suk (KOR, 2-man bobsleigh) and Hunter Church (USA, 4-man bobsleigh), as well as Veronica Day (USA, women’s skeleton) and Austin Florian (USA, men’s skeleton) are the half time leaders in IBSF North American Cup.
After four off eight races, bobsleigh pilot Yooran Kim (KOR, 428 points) is in the lead ahead of Canada’s Julie Johnson (402) and Qing Ying (CHN, 400), who in Calgary (CAN) became the first Chinese athlete to win an IBSF race.
Youngjin Suk (KOR, 428) is leading in 2-man bobsleigh, followed by Taylor Austin (CAN, 384) and Hunter Church (USA, 382). In 4-man bobsleigh Hunter Church (USA, 460) is the current leader ahead of Edson Bindilatti from Brazil (396) and Swiss Pius Meyerhans (392).
In skeleton sports, women’s leader Veronica Day (USA, 255 points) is followed by teammate Kelly Curtis (USA, 243) and Grace Dafoe (210) from Canada. Austin Florian (USA, 260) is the current men’s leader ahead of Katsuyuki Miyajima (JPN, 225) and Andrew Blaser (USA, 184).
The IBSF North American Cup continues from November 28 – December 1 in Park City (USA) with the races five and six.
