Martin Bohman was re-elected as President during the general election meeting of the Czech Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation hosted by Sport Centrum Nymburk, Central Bohemian Region on Saturday 2nd June 2018.

Bohman, member of the Czech Bobsleigh team from 2005 to 2014 and 16th in 4-man bobsleigh at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, managed to defend his position following his first term 2014-2018.

The new members of the Executive Committee are Ivo Danilevič (2007 European Champion in 2-man bobsleigh), Jan Šindelář (Olympian at PyeongChang 2018), Jan Mottl and Jaroslav Kopřiva (Olympian at PyeongChang 2018).

In his inauguration speech Martin Bohman thanked all the team members and athletes. He reminded the great results of the junior national team, which earned the bronze medal in 2016 and 2017 at the Junior World Championships. He also made a reference to the title of the World Champions and a silver medal from Summer Push World Championships 2016 with Dominik Dvořák as a pilot.

The biggest Olympic bobsleigh team (four crews) in the Czech history for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang was also mentioned. He expressed his thanks to the Olymp-Sport Centre of the Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Education and Sport, Czech Olympic Committee and private partners for a great support. The big achievements made in increased media coverage were also emphasized.

His aims for the period 2018-2022 are to ensure the financial stability, a high quality member support and technical support. The sports goals are to win a medal in the junior and senior competition in both Olympic disciplines and to achieve a ranking within the Top Ten in the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing 2022.
