Lausanne (RWH) Every year on 23 June, the Olympic Day remembers the birthday of the modern Olympic Games on 23 June 1894 at the Sorbonne in Paris and raises awareness of the vital role sport and physical activity play in society.
Amateur and professional athletes around the globe are invited and encouraged to start sharing their inspiring stories and moments around Olympism and the Olympic Day with the Hashtags #UnitedBy and #OlympicDay to inspire people for sports and the Olympic idea.
2018 marks the 70th anniversary of Olympic Day and the International Olympic Committee IOC launches the campaign, ‘UnitedBy’ to bring together stories, experiences and events of Olympism from across the world and combine them with content created centrally to build a unified celebration of Olympic ideas and values around 23 June. ©RWH2018
