Rome (RWH) With the reports on the past Olympic season and an outlook to the future, the annual meeting of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF started in Rome. President Ivo Ferriani welcomed delegates from 41 national federations to the Pre-Congress at the building of the Italian Olympic Committee CONI.
The current Vice-Presidents of Legal Affairs (Ben Sandford, NZL), Marketing & Events (David Tomatis, MON), Sports (Darrin Steele, USA), International Affairs (Adam Pengilly, GBR) and of Corporate and Financial Affairs (Andreas Trautvetter, GER) presented their facts and figures of the past season.
Media and marketing partner Infront, with Stefan Krauss, the CEO of Infront Austria, presented detailed information to audience rating and marketing.
Also possible future plans and projects of the various resorts were on the agenda and were actively discussed by the delegates.
The Pre-Congress ended with an outlook to the upcoming seasons highlights: The organizers of the Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships 2019 in Whistler (CAN), 2020 in Altenberg (GER), 2021 in Lake Placid (USA) and of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing (CHN) reported on the state of their preparations. ©RWH2018
