Glarus (RWH) The 21st Swiss Start Championships Bob & Skeleton are due to take place this summer on 25 August in the city of Glarus in the east of the country. Registration is still open until the 10th of August.
The national federation Swiss Sliding with the Bobclub Zürichsee organize the 2018 Championships as part of the city music festival Sound of Glarus. On the town hall square of the city of Glarus, a tartan start track with rails including a 40 meter long measuring section will be set up.
Among the jury members are two-time Olympic champion Christoph Langen (GER), coach of the Swiss junior bobsleigh team, and Wolfgang Stampfer (AUT), national coach of the bobsleigh athletes from Switzerland since 2014.
The Swiss Starter Championships are open to anyone interested. Even without experience in the icetrack, athletic ambitious women and men can try out bobsleigh and skeleton sports in Glarus. © RWH2018
