USA Bobsled & Skeleton has announced over 40 athletes competing on the wheeled push track in Lake Placid on Friday (September 28). The competition starts with a Women's Brakeman push competition from 9.30 am local time, followed by Men's and Women's Pilot/monobob push competition (10.30 am) and the Men's Brakeman push competition (1 pm).
Following the head-to-head competitions on Friday, combinations will be assembled to push together on Saturday (September 29) to start the first round of testing for the upcoming season.
The Federation Bob- und Schlittenverband für Deutschland (BSD) expects athletes from Germany and other nations to the open National Push Championships on Saturday (September 29). Venue for the competition is the start track in Oberhof. The competitions start with 2-Woman and 2-Man Bobsleigh (10 am local time), followed by Women’s and Men’s Skeleton (12 noon) and 4-Man Bobsleigh (2.30 pm). The organizers announced fringe events with music, catering and kids programme.
The Italian bobsleigh and skeleton athletes compete for the National Push titles on the first weekend in October. Following a training day in Cortina on Saturday (October 6), the races of 2-Man Bobsleigh, Men’s and Women’s Skeleton start on Sunday (October 7) at 10 am local time. ©RWH2018
