Buenos Aires (RWH) Over 1,600 participants will take part in the Olympism in Action Forum on 5 and 6 October in Buenos Aires, Argentina, ahead of the Youth Olympic Games 2018. The two-day event focuses on sharing ideas on the overarching trends that affect the future of sport.

The Forum involves Olympic Movement stakeholders, such as athletes, private and public sector leaders and the media, as well as broader spheres of society with the power to bring about change, including NGOs, academics and artists. Forum sessions and activities will include debates, collaborative workshops, sports demonstrations, inspirational talks, cultural celebrations, networking opportunities and much more.

Two former athletes of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF will be present at the Forum: the Athletes Committee Chair Peter van Wees (NED) and the former British skeleton athlete Shelley Rudman, 2006 Olympic Silver Medallist and 2013 World Champion.
The IBSF President and IOC Member Ivo Ferriani will participate as well.
