National Bobsleigh and Skeleton Team announced
Prague (RWH) Skeleton athlete Anna Fernstädt, 2018 Junior World Champion for Germany, will compete for the Team of the Czech Republic in the coming 2018/2019 winter. The Czech Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation now presented the national team for the post-Olympic season.
The 21-years-old born German with Czech roots won the 2013/2014 Overall IBSF Europe Cup for Germany and finished top ten in eleven of her 13 races in BMW IBSF World Cup since 2016. At the 2017 World Championships, Anna Fernstädt finished fourth just outside the medals and won bronze with an international team. Her first Olympic Winter Games 2018 in PyeongChang, Anna Fernstädt finished on sixth place. For her new team, she will kick-off the current season in Europe and Intercontinental Cup.
The Czech Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation presented the following athletes for the first half of the season:
