Lausanne (RWH) The elections to the upcoming IBSF Athletes Advisory Committee are underway until 16 January at all IBSF race series. The former bobsleigh pilot Christina Hengster from Austria, and the former skeleton athlete Anja Selbach (GER) will be available for selection for the committee chair. Skeleton athlete Kathryn Tannenbaum (ISV) is candidate for the committee.
Christina Hengster was the most successful bobsleigh pilot from Austria so far. She was the 2012 Junior World Champion, took third place in the overall standings for the BMW IBSF World Cup in 2016, as well as bronze at her home World Championships in Innsbruck with the team.
Anja Selbach was World Champion in 2008 and won the Overall World Cup in the winter of 2010/2011. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, she won the bronze medal.
Skeleton athlete Kathryn Tannenbaum made her World Cup debut for the Virgin Islands in the winter of 2015/2016 and so far has raced 18 times in the highest IBSF racing series. In the North American Cup in Park City (USA) in November, she just missed the podium in fourth. ©RWH2019
