Lausanne (RWH) Designers and creatives across the globe can be the creator of the medals for the Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020. The competition opens 14 February 2019 and runs until 8 April 2019 – all info can be found at www.medal-design-competition.com. The winning designer will win a trip to Lausanne to enjoy the Opening Ceremony and witness the awarding of their medals at the sports competitions, as well as a full set of medals featuring their design.
The winning design will be selected by a judging panel at the end of April 2019, and this will then feature on the gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to the youth athletes from 9 to 22 January 2020. The reverse of the medal will be designed by the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee after this contest.
The Lausanne 2020 competitions in Women's and Men's Monobob and Skeleton will take place at the Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz-Celerina in the Swiss Alps. In preparation, the IBSF currently holds an event of the OMEGA Youth Series at the famous natural ice track. 39 young skeleton athletes and 34 monobob pilots from 13 nations and four continents are due to compete on Friday (15 February). ©RWH2019
