Monobob and Skeleton races on 19 and 20 January
Lausanne (RWH) The Organizing Committee for the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Lausanne 2020 released the competition schedule for the Games. 19 and 20 January 2020 are the days, all young Monobob and Skeleton athletes are eagerly awaiting. Ten days after the YOG Opening Ceremony in Lausanne, a total of 76 young athletes – 18 each in Women’s and Men’s Monobob, 20 each in Women’s and Men’s Skeleton - will compete for gold, silver and bronze at the famous natural silding track St. Moritz-Celerina. The historic venue, known as birthplace of sliding sports, will then host its first Olympic Bobsleigh and Skeleton competitions since the 1948 Winter Games.

Overall, a total of 81 competitions will be held at eight different sites over the 13 YOG days. A total of 1880 athletes with a gender equal representation of 940 males and 940 females are expected to take part in the Games.
