Altenberg / Innsbruck (RWH) The IBSF Europe Cup 2019/2020 comes to an end with the last races of the season in Altenberg (GER) and Innsbruck (AUT).

The skeleton athletes will contest the season finale with races number seven and eight in Altenberg (GER, January 24 and 25). The Europe Cup final on Saturday also counts as Junior European Championship for starters from Europe. Preliminary decisions in the overall ranking of the racing series have not yet been made. Felix Seibel (GER) leads in men’s skeleton with a good 40 points ahead of Amedeo Bagnis (ITA). However, the Italian competes at the BMW IBSF World Cup at Königssee this weekend. In the women's skeleton, tiny two points separate the leading Amelia Coltman (GBR) from the second-placed Endija Terauda (LAT). Both athletes have won two of the six Europe Cup races to date.

The bobsleigh athletes compete for the overall Europe Cup titles and the Junior European Championships in Innsbruck (AUT, Jan 30 - Feb 1). Bobsleigh pilot Andreea Grecu from Romania already is Overall Europe Cup winner: With her lead of 190 points over Anne Lobenstein (GER) and 120 points awarded for a victory, the Romanian cannot be overtaken in the last race.  Mihai Tentea (ROU, 2-man bobsleigh) and Jonas Jannusch (GER, 4-man bobsleigh) are the leaders ahead of the last two races of the season and the Junior European Championships.
