Sigulda/PyeongChang (RWH) The National Federations of Latvia and Korea are looking for new talent for the bobsleigh and skeleton sports.
In Latvia, the selection tests will take place in the second half of May in the stadium of the Murjāņi Sport High School near Sigulda. Young women and men between 16 and 26 years have to apply beforehand via a form, are then invited individually and receive information on date and time.
The test programme in Latvia includes a 30-metre sprint, the push of a bobsleigh training device and a long jump from a standing position. Given the contact restrictions imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic, this time the tests will be conducted only on fixed dates and in small groups.
The Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation of Korea has scheduled the selection tests for July 23 and 24 at the indoor ice track of the Olympic Sliding Center in PyeongChang. More information on selection methods can be found on the federation's website www.kbsf.or.kr. Registration will also be possible there soon. ©RWH2020
