Lake Placid with largest World Championship programme in bobsleigh and skeleton history

Großgmain (RWH) The first World Championship in Women's Monobob is scheduled to take place in Lake Placid (USA) in 2021. Following a survey amongst the IBSF Member Federations, the Executive Committee of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF decided to include the discipline in the programme for the BMW IBSF World Championships 2021.

This means that in the pre-Olympic winter of 2020/2021, the largest World Championship programme in bobsleigh and skeleton sports to date is on the calendar. In addition to the 2-woman Bobsleigh, 2-man Bobsleigh, 4-man Bobsleigh, Women's and Men's Skeleton as well as the Skeleton Mixed World Championships, Lake Placid will also host the IBSF Para-Sport World Championships and the Women's Monobob World Championships.
