Winterberg (RWH) The 2021 IBSF European Championships Bobsleigh & Skeleton are due to take place in Winterberg (GER) according to current planning. The German track hosts the fourth station of BMW IBSF World Cup 2020/2021 from January 8 to 10, 2021. The races in Women’s and Men’s Skeleton, 2-woman Bobsleigh, 2-man and 4-man Bobsleigh are also counted as continental championships for the athletes from Europe.
1979, 1989, 1999, and 2003, it was about European Championships medals in Winterberg for 2-man and 4-man Bobsleigh, 1984 and 1988 für Men’s Skeleton. 2011 and 2017, Winterberg was the venue for the joint IBSF European Championships Bobsleigh & Skeleton with five disciplines. In 2020 the team of Johannes Lochner (GER) became European Champion in 4-man bobsleigh in Winterberg - the other disciplines were held in Sigulda (LAT) this year. ©RWH2020
