Lake Placid (RWH) In order to minimize travel and reduce quarantine periods the bobsleigh and skeleton athletes from the US team will only join International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) race series from January 2021.
As the federation USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) said in a news release, training periods and team trials are now scheduled from November 2 in Lake Placid and Park City. The USABS National Teams are due to be named on December 16.
The BMW IBSF World Cup 2020-2021 is scheduled to kick-off in Sigulda (LAT, 16 – 29 November) and Innsbruck (AUT, 7 – 20 December) with two events at each venue. The first World Cup event in 2021 is in Winterberg (GER, 4 – 10 January). ©RWH2020
