IBSF Präsident Ivo Ferriani among the guests

Milan (RWH) The Italian Winter Sports Federation FISI (Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali) celebrated it’s 100th anniversary on October 6 with winter sports stars and the federations friends and partners. Among the guests invited was also Ivo Ferriani from Italy, the President of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF.

The FISI, IBSF member since 1927, was among the first winter sports federations to attend the IBSF (founded 1924). With twelve Olympic medals including four times gold as well as 51 World Championships medals including twelve times gold, Italy is among the most successful nations in the history of Bobsleigh sports.

At the BMW IBSF World Championships 2020 in Altenberg (GER), Valentina Margaglio/Mattia Gaspari won a surprise bronze medal at the inaugural Skeleton Mixed Competition. It was the first Skeleton medal at World Championships for Italy. ©RWH2020
