Lausanne (RWH) While many athletes in winter but also in summer sports start to compete again, the president of the International Olympic Committee IOC Thomas Bach addressed the athletes community with a video message related to the COVID19 pandemic. „We live in a difficult period and it is particular difficult for you as many of you are starting to compete again in uncertain times and circumstances“, said Thomas Bach.
„"We as the IOC work 24 hours a day with your Athletes' Committee, the National Olympic Committees and the International Federations. This and the developments on rapid infection testing and vaccines make us confident. We are #StrongerTogether in this great challenge and I invite you to prepare for your Olympic Games in Tokyo next year and for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022."
