Lausanne (RWH) Ivo Ferriani, President of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF, is new President of the Association of the International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF). At the General Assembly held in digital format on 5 November, the Italian was elected unanimously by the seven member federations of the Association. Ferriani succeeds Gian Franco Kasper. The 76-year-old Swiss, President of the International Ski Federation FIS, had been AIOWF President since 2014 and had now resigned.
The member federations named Heike Größwang, who also holds this position at the IBSF, as Secretary General of AIOWF. ©RWH2020
