YOG athletes compete at IBSF Intercontinental Cup and Europe Cup

Netstal (RWH) The national federation Swiss Sliding has announced the athletes for the BMW IBSF World Cup 2020/2021. Already seeded was World Championships silver medallist Marina Gilardoni in Women's Skeleton. Ronald Auderset and Samuel Keiser will start for Switzerland in Men's Skeleton.

Youth athlete Jill Gander won both qualification races in Women's Skeleton and will be competing in the IBSF Intercontinental Cup in what will be her first season in the IBSF race series. The 15-year-old narrowly missed out on medals in fourth place at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Lausanne 2020. YOG bronze medal winner Livio Summermatter (18) was named to the Swiss Europe Cup team, as is Lars Rumo (18), who finished 12th at the YOG.

As bobsleigh pilots in the BMW IBSF World Cup, Martina Fontanive and Melanie Hasler are in the women's team and Michael Vogt and Simon Friedli in the men's.  ©RWH2020
