IBSF congresses 2022 and 2023 in Lausanne and Jamaica
Lausanne (RWH) Winterberg (GER) and Lake Placid (USA) are the hosts for the IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships 2024 and 2025. The delegates at the 2021 Annual Congresss of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF approved the bids of both tracks.
By decision of the congress, Winterberg will also host the 2023 IBSF Junior World Championships. Lake Placid is venue for the 2022 IBSF Summer Push World Championships in the new training facilities including indoor ice start track that were opened this summer.
The 2022 IBSF Congress, in the 99th year of the Olympic winter sports federation, will take place in the Olympic capital Lausanne (SUI). The 2023 congress was unanimously awarded to Jamaica. The Jamaican Bobsled & Skeleton Federation originally was host for the 2021 congress that was then switched to a virtual format due to COVID related travel restrictions. ©RWH2021
