Skeleton slider at Lake Placid track

Lake Placid (RWH) The Development Program of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF is currently underway in Lake Placid (USA). Ten bobsleigh teams and four Skeleton athletes from a total of ten nations started the 13 training days on October 11 with a push camp and continued with the first sliding from October 18.

On site with the athletes from Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Denmark, Ghana, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago and Vietnam are IBSF Development Coaches Bryan Berghorn and Nick Vienneau as well as North American Cup and Intercontinental Cup coordinator Nicola Minichiello

To encourage the growth of Bobsleigh & Skeleton around the globe the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation employs a team of Development Officers and produces resources to aid development activity. The development program offers a financial grant to aid in the development of Bobsleigh & Skeleton in their country. It is an essential tool for the promotion and development of the Bobsleigh & Skeleton sports.

The IBSF provides frameworks, funding and facilitation to ensure that Bobsleigh & Skeleton are meaningful for current and future generations worldwide.
