Beijing (IBSF) Today the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF signed a Memorandum of Understanding with representatives of the Chinese Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association, the Yanqing District, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and the Beijing Enterprises J.O Construction Co., Ltd. to foster the legacy of Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 and the sustainable development of sliding sports at the Yanqing Sliding Center.
During the upcoming five years, the IBSF will stage World Cup races, Asian Cup races as well as training camps in cooperation with the signing parties.
“During the past six years we have worked very closely with the various stakeholders to prepare not just the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 but also the past-Games use. Our shared vision was to leave a strong legacy for this outstanding facility which will serve for top-elite level sports and at the same time for touristic purposes. With today´s MoU we accomplished the vision which will now come into action”, states IBSF President Ivo Ferriani.
