IBSF World Cup Calendar for 2022-2023 released

Lausanne (RWH) The Special Committee Calendar of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF had met on May 13 to discuss calendar proposals for the 2022/23 season and gave a recommendation to the IBSF Executive Committee which met on May 16.

As a result the World Cup planning for the post-olympic season schedules eight World Cup events in Canada, the USA, Germany, Austria and Latvia. Highlight of the winter will be the 2023 World Championships in St. Moritz (SUI). The Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz-Celerina welcomes the best Bobsleigh and Skeleton athletes of the World from January 23 to February 5, 2023.

The Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup starts at the end of November 2022 in Whistler (CAN) and heads over to the US tracks in Park City and Lake Placid in December. Push World Championships are in planning for December 7 and 8 in Lake Placid ahead of the third World Cup event. January 2023 starts with the World Cup in Winterberg as well as two events in Altenberg (all GER) before the World Championships kick-off in St. Moritz. World Cup race weekends seven and eight take place in Innsbruck (AUT) and Sigulda (LAT) in the second and third week of February, respectively.

The Calendars for the European Cup, North American Cup, the Skeleton-only Intercontinental Cup and the Para Sports World Cup will be published in the next weeks.
