BMW and the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF extend long-term partnership - BMW as title sponsor at World Cups and World Championships
Lausanne/Munich. The sport of bobsleigh and skeleton will remain a central element of the BMW Group's commitment to sport in the future. At the start of the new Olympic cycle, the premium automobile manufacturer extended its long-standing partnership with the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF). BMW will remain the title partner of the BMW IBSF Bob & Skeleton World Cups and the BMW IBSF Bob & Skeleton World Championships.
"BMW first became involved in our sports at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and has thus supported them in various ways for 35 years. As an international sports federation, we are very proud to continue working with a global brand like BMW, which stands for tradition, reliability and at the same time innovation, as the title partner of the IBSF World Cup Series and the IBSF World Championships. Together we want to continue to develop the sport of bobsleigh and skeleton in the future," says IBSF President Ivo Ferriani.
The 2022/23 BMW IBSF Bob & Skeleton World Cup will begin on 24 November 2022 in Whistler, Canada. The season culminates with the BMW IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships from 26 January to 5 February 2023 in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
