Lake Placid (RWH) Local hero Mystique Ro (USA, Women's Skeleton), Lisa Buckwitz/Neele Schuten (GER, 2-woman Bobsleigh) and the 4-man bobsleigh team of local hero Kristopher Horn (USA) are the winners on the second day of competition at the IBSF World Push Championships in Lake Placid (USA).

In Women's Skeleton, Mystique Ro clocked the best time in all three starts and is the new World Champion in skeleton push. The current leader in the IBSF Europe Cup relegated Canada's Jane Channel (0.12 seconds back) and Brogan Crowley (GBR, 0.22 seconds back) to second and third place.

Lisa Buckwitz/Neele Schuten from Germany won the 2-woman Bobsleigh World Push Championships ahead of the Canadian team Cynthia Appiah/Erica Voss (0.26 seconds back). Third place and bronze were secured by Riley Compton/Emily Renna of the U.S. host team (0.88 seconds back).

The 4-man Bobsleigh competition was won by the team of pilot Kristopher Horn (USA) who secured gold at the IBSF World Push Championships. Silver went to the Swiss 4-man Bobsleigh crew of Simon Friedli (0.05 seconds back) ahead of the Austrians of pilot Markus Treichl (0.08 seconds back). The race for first place in the 4-man Bobsleigh was extremely close: After the first run, the teams of Horn, Treichl and Friedli were tied for the lead, after the second run Horn was in the lead just ahead of the Austrians and the Swiss who were still tied.

The IBSF World Push Championships are staged at the ice house facility located in the Mountain Pass Lodge at Mount Van Hoevenberg near the Lake Placid icetrack. For each of the currently six Olympic disciplines of the IBSF – Men’s and Women’s Skeleton, 2-woman and 2-man Bobsleigh, 4-man Bobsleigh and Women’s Monobob – the competitions consists of two preliminary runs and a finalrun of the top ten. All athletes use the same Skeleton and Bobsleigh sled, respectively. All discipline winners are awarded 1,000 Dollars each.
