St. Moritz (RWH) As part of the supporting program of the BMW IBSF World Championships Bobsleigh, Skeleton & Para Sport, the development of the sport from 1930 to today was shown live at the "125 Years SMBC Trophy" of the Saint Moritz Bobsleigh Club. Among the pilots and passengers in the historic sleds were also World Champions and Olympic Champions such as Beat Hefti, 2-man bobsleigh Olympic Champion of 2014, the most successful Swiss bobsleigh pilot Erich Schärer and the 1994 skeleton World Champion and current head of track in St. Moritz Gregor Stähli. Prince Leopold of Bavaria and Rolf Sachs, honorary president of the SMBC and president of the legendary Dracula Club were also among the bobsleigh passengers. The Trophy's most prominent participant: Prince Albert II of Monaco, who is himself a former Olympic bobsleigh pilot.
