26 skeleton athletes and 29 bobsleigh teams join Development Camp in La Plagne

La Plagne (RWH) 738 runs in six days, plus athletics training and workshops on material and rules - that's the proud balance of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF's development camp in La Plagne (FRA).

From March 13 to 19, 26 skeleton athletes from ten nations and 29 bobsleigh pilots from twelve nations came to the track in the French Alps. The youngest participant in skeleton was 14-year-old Adalina Badara from Romania, her 16-year-old teammate Raul Stefan Predescu was the youngest athlete in bobsleigh. Both are preparing for the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024. In excellent track conditions, the athletes were able to systematically work their way up from a lower start..

Besides the experienced IBSF coaching team around Dorin Velicu (ROU, skeleton) and Edgards Maskalans (LAT, bobsleigh) also all national coaches and support staff actively helped and thus contributed to a successful training course. The high number of runs was only made possible by the excellent work of Bruno Thomas' track crew and the IBSF mechanics team. ©RWH2023
