Lausanne (RWH) The 2023 Congress of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF will be held in Barcelona on 23 and 24 September. The host is the Spanish federation Real Federacion Española Deportes de Hielo.
The 2023 IBSF Congress kicks off with the Pre-Congress on 23 September and presentations by Executive Committee members and other stakeholders. In addition, the organising committees of the BMW IBSF World Cup Yanqing 2023, the BMW IBSF World Championships 2024 in Winterberg, the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 and the Winter Olympic Games Milan-Cortina 2026 will report on the status of preparations. Another topic on the agenda is the latest information on the Hall of Fame in St. Moritz.
The IBSF Congress will take place on 24 September. Among other things, the delegates will hear the report of IBSF President Ivo Ferriani, discuss the reports of the Vice-Presidents and the athletes' representatives Christina Hengster (AUT, bobsleigh) and Elisabeth Maier (CAN, skeleton) and elect the representatives of the 2023-2025 Audit Committee. A decision will also be made on the venue of the 2025 World Junior Championships.
