Elfje Willemsen second ahead of Jamie Greubel Poser

Königssee (RWH) Bobsleigh pilot Kaillie Humphries of Canada, 2010 and 2014 Olympic Champion, was the winner at the third round of the BMW IBSF World Cup 2015/2016. The World Champion in 2012 and 2013 and her brakewoman Melissa Lotholz achieved their second win of the season on the artificial track in Königssee (GER), pushing the Belgian pairing of Elfje Willemsen/Sophie Vercruyssen (0.53 seconds behind) into second place. Jamie Greubel Poser of the USA (0.64 seconds behind), Olympic bronze medallist in Sochi in 2014, and her brakewoman Lauren Gibbs finished in third.
Arriving in Königssee ahead in the IBSF European Cup, the German pilot Mariama Jamanka and her brakewoman Franziska Bertels finished their début race in the BMW IBSF World Cup in eighth place.
After the third of eight races, the overall standings for the BMW IBSF World Cup are led by the overall winner of the 2014 World Cup Kaillie Humphries (CAN, 650 points) ahead of Jamie Greubel Poser (USA, 625) and Elfje Willemsen (BEL, 596).
