Maximilian Arndt in four-man bobsleigh second ahead of Rico Peter
Park City (RWH) Bobsleigh pilot Nico Walther of Germany has won his second victory of the season in the second Park City (USA) four-man bobsleigh race in the BMW IBSF World Cup. Pushed by Marko Hübenbecker, Christian Poser and Eric Franke, the World Championship silver medallist finished the second run with a lead of just 0.02 seconds on fellow German Maximilian Arndt and his crew of Kevin Korona, Martin Putze and Ben Heber. The Swiss team piloted by Rico Peter and pushed by Bror van der Zijde, Thomas Amrhein and Fabio Badraun came third, 0.08 seconds back.
US Olympic Champion (2010) Steven Holcomb came seventh on home ice with Frank DelDuca, Carlo Valdes and Samuel McGuffie, his best result this winter.
The Korean four-man crew of Yunjong Won, Jinsu Kim, Kyunghyun Kim and Jeahan Oh were eleventh in Park City, the best ever four-man bobsleigh result for the country hosting the next Olympic Winter Games.
After the sixth of eight races in the BMW IBSF World Cup 2015/2016, Maximilian Arndt continues to head the overall standings in the four-man bobsleigh with 1265 points. Fellow German Francesco Friedrich, who came fourth in Park City, is second with 1178 points, and Rico Peter is overall third with 1168 points.
