Calgary (RWH) The first ever Chinese Bobsleigh Championships took place in Calgary at the end of October. 21 athletes competed in Canada Olympic Park in team and single push competitions and a 2-man and women’s bobsleigh race.

The first ever Chinese Champion in women’s bobsleigh is pilot Ying Qing with push athlete Ma Yuanyuan, silver went to Huai Mingmin/Peng Shiyin
Shao Yijun/Shi Hao won the national title in 2-man bobsleigh ahead of Li Chunjian/Liu Wei and Sun Kaizhi/Wang Jiaqi/Wang Chao.

The results of the 2017 Chinese Push Championships are:
Men Single pushing: 1st Wang Sidong, 2nd Li Chunjian, 3rd Shi Hao
Women single pushing: 1st Ying Qing, 2nd Huai Mingming, 3rd Ma Yuanyuan

Men Team pushing: 1st Li Chunjian/Shi Hao, 2nd Sun Kaizhi/Liu Wei, 3rd Jin Jian/Li Yangyang
Women Team Pushing: 1st Ying Qing/He Xinyi, 2nd Huai Mingming, 3rd Li Xingye/Peng Shiyin

For the next season, the Association plans also to include skeleton in the National Championships programme. ©RWH2017
