Lake Placid (RWH) Defending Champion Lonnie Bissonnette from Canada is the current overall leader in IBSF Para Bobsleigh World Cup 2017/2018. The 2016 World Champion and World Cup Champion of the last two seasons celebrated three podium finishes in four races and leads the field with 418 points. World Championships bronze medallist Corie Mapp (GBR) and Swiss pilot Christopher Stewart, who celebrated his first World Cup victory in Lake Placid, follow with 402 points each.

Currently fourth is Annija Krumina from Latvia, the first women to win an IBSF Para Sport World Cup. After her victory in Calgary, she also jumped on the Lake Placid podium, finishing third. All IBSF Para-Sports disciplines are mixed-gender.

The IBSF Para Sport World Cup continues on January 18+19, 2018 in Innsbruck (AUT). World Cup race number six on January 19 additionally counts as European Championships for the athletes from Europe. For IBSF Para Bobsleigh World Cup 2017/2018, a total of ten races are scheduled. ©RWH2017
