Königssee (RWH) Bobsleigh pilots Christin Senkel (GER, women’s bobsleigh), Dominik Dvorak (CZE, 2-man bobsleigh) and Christoph Hafer (GER, 4-man bobsleigh) are the current leaders in IBSF Europe Cup bobsleigh 2017/2018.
In women’s bobsleigh, Christin Senkel (546 points) leads the field ahead of Katrin Beierl from Austria (480), who won four of the five races so far but did not compete in Altenberg. Youth Olympic Champion Laura Nolte (GER, 464) is third overall.
Czech Dominik Dvorak (496 points) is the leader in 2-man bobsleigh. Christoph Hafer (GER, 488) and Romain Heinrich from France (476) are currently second and third.
In 4-man bobsleigh the athletes competed in three races so far this season. Christoph Hafer (GER, 332 points) is in the lead ahead of opening race winner Markus Treichl from Austria (318) and Junior World Champion Bennet Buchmüller (GER, 272).
The IBSF Europe Cup Bobsleigh continues on December 15-17 in La Plagne (FRA).
The best Junior athletes in Europe Cup – in the sport of bobsleigh up to the age of 26 – will be awarded as Junior European Champions for the first time this season, following the finale in Winterberg (GER, January 12-14, 2018).
