Birmingham (RWH) Briton Jazmin Sawyers, who won Youth Olymic Games Silver in Women‘s Bobsleigh pushing pilot Mica McNeill in 2012, will be part of the British long jump team at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin.
As the 24 years old long jump athlete announced on her Instagram page, she finished second at the British Championships in Birmingham and so got her ticket to Berlin. „Today the hard work paid off. I jumped a new lifetime best of 6.86 m, won a silver medal at the national championships und booked my spot on the team for the European Championships in Berlin“, Jazmin Sawyers wrote.
2016 Jazmin Sawyers won European Championships silver in Amsterdam, at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro the same year she finished eighth. The women’s long jump in Berlin is scheduled for 9 + 11 August 2018. ©RWH2018
