Also Dennis Pihale, Andreea Grecu und Christoph Hafer win in Winterberg 

Winterberg (RWH) German bobsleigh pilot Laura Nolte, 2016 Youth Olympic Champion in the monobob, celebrated her first ever victory in IBSF Europe Cup. Pushed by Deborah Levi, the 20-years-old in the first race banned Junior World Champion Andreea Grecu (ROU) with Teodora Vlad to second place. Australians Breeana Walker/Jamie Scroop finished third. In the second 2-woman Bobsleigh race, Andreea Grecu won ahead of Laura Nolte and Anne Lobenstein (GER).

In 2-man Bobsleigh, Dennis Pihale/Lukas Frytz (GER) celebrated their first Europe Cup victory ahead of Junior World Champion Richard Oelsner with Issam Ammour and Christoph Hafer/Christian Hamers (both GER).

In 4-man Bobsleigh, both victories went to defending Europe Cup Champion Christoph Hafer. Patrick Baumgartner from Italy, 2012 Youth Olympic Champion, finished second in both races. Third places went to the teams of Rostislav Gaitiukevich (RUS) and U23 World Champion Richard Oelsner (GER).

The IBSF Europe Cup Bobsleigh continues from January 10-12, 2019, in Innsbruck (AUT). For the 4-man Bobsleigh teams from Europe, the eighth and last race of the season on Saturday (January 12), also counts as Junior European Championships. ©RWH2019
