Berchtesgaden (RWH) The German Federation BSD has announced some changes in the national Bobsleigh teams fort he coming season. Nico Walther, the PyeongChang Olympia silver medallist in the 4-man Bobsleigh, strengthens his team with Joshua Bluhm as new push athlete. Bluhm was 2017 World Champion in 4-man Bobsleigh with pilot Johannes Lochner.

Bobsleigh pilot Christoph Hafer, winner of overall Europe Cup in 2018, will be supported by Lukas Frytz, Matthias Sommer, and Christian Hammers. Christoph Hafer competed at the BMW IBSF World Cups in Sigulda (LAT) and Innsbruck-Igls (AUT) last season, securing his first World Cup podium finish in Sigulda in third place.

Previously, Olympic Gold Medallist Mariama Jamanka had already announced that she will welcome 19-year-old U23 World Champion Kira Lipperheide in her team this coming winter. ©RWH2019
