Franz Huber succeeds Reinhard Poller as CEO

Innsbruck (RWH) Wolfgang Stampfer is the new coach of the Bobsleigh national team of Austria, as the Austrian Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation ÖBSV announced on Facebook. According to the release, predecessor Franz-Josef Hofmann stepped down as coach for health reasons.

Until 2010, Austrian Wolfgang Stampfer was active as Bobsleigh pilot and took part in three Winter Olympics (2002, 2006 and 2010). His greatest sporting achievement was 4-man Bobsleigh bronze at the 1999 European Championships in Winterberg (GER). Following his athletic career, the now 47-years-old worked as a coach, first for Italy and since 2014 for the national team from Switzerland.

As the new ÖBSV executive director, Franz Huber has succeeded Reinhard Poller. Poller, previously Secretary General of the Luge Federation of Austria, was in office since October 2018. ©RWH2019
