Bucharest (RWH) International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF mourns the death of Dumitru Focşeneanu (ROU). The former bobsleigh push athlete passed away at the age of 83, as the Bobsleigh Association of Romania in Bucharest now announced on Facebook.
Together with pilot Ion Panţuru in 2-man Bobsleigh, Dumitru Focşeneanu won World Championships silver (1969) and bronze (1973). At the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo (JPN), he was twelfth in 2-man Bobsleigh with Dragoş Panaitescu and finished tenth with Panţuru in 4-man Bobsleigh. ©RWH2019
